Candidacy is the most important factor. At Morsia, we review CBCT 3D scans before every same day procedure. The key criteria:
- Sufficient bone density and volume: The implant must achieve high primary stability (insertion torque ≥35 Ncm). Soft or insufficient bone requires grafting and a staged approach.
- No active infection: Extraction sites with active infection need time to heal before implant placement.
- Non-smoking or light smoking: Heavy smokers have significantly higher implant failure rates with immediate loading.
- Controlled systemic health: Well-controlled diabetes, no uncontrolled bleeding disorders, no recent bisphosphonate treatment.
- Realistic bite expectations: The provisional crown must be kept out of direct bite contact during healing. If you grind your teeth at night, a night guard is essential.

Day 0 — Remote Consultation

Day 1 Morning — CBCT Scan and Treatment Planning
On arrival, a full-arch CBCT scan is taken (€80–120, credited toward treatment). Implant position, size and angulation are planned digitally. You discuss the plan with your surgeon before anything begins.
Day 1 — Implant Placement
Under local anaesthesia (IV sedation available on request), the implant is placed. Insertion torque is measured precisely. If it meets the threshold for immediate loading, the procedure continues. If not, a healing cap is placed and a traditional protocol is followed — your safety is not negotiable.
Day 1 Afternoon — Provisional Crown
A screw-retained provisional crown is attached to the implant, shaped to avoid direct occlusal contact. You leave with a tooth. It looks natural and functions for biting soft food immediately.
3–6 Months Later — Final Crown
Osseointegration is confirmed with X-ray. The final ceramic crown (zirconia or layered porcelain-fused-to-zirconia) replaces the provisional. This can be done in Antalya on a short return visit or arranged via a local dentist with our documentation.
Same Day Implants vs. All-on-4: Understanding the Difference
Same day single implants replace one missing tooth. All-on-4 (full arch rehabilitation) uses four implants to support a full arch of 12–14 teeth on the same day — a much larger procedure. Do I need someone to travel with me?
