The All-on-4 Dental Implants treatment can be explained as the restoration of one’s smile with fixed prosthesis supported by titanium dental implants. This clinically proven method of full mouth restoration, also known as Full-Arch Restoration, can be ideal for people who are experiencing loss/mobility of all teeth in one or both jaws. The procedure is typically completed in two stages. The first stage involves the implant surgery. Any necessary teeth extraction or bone grafting is done beforehand. The surgery can be done under local anaesthesia however sedation or general anaesthesia can be an option with patients who find it hard or scary to proceed with such a surgery. After a healing period of minimum 3 months, the second stage is carried out. On this stage, the prosthesis are permanently fixed on the All-on-4 system.
First step of this procedure is to have a preliminary consultation with our expert team. As the process involves examining your medical history, your current dental situation and your dental complaint, the preliminary consultation can be made online. The final step to determine if you are a suitable candidate for this treatment is to have a CT scan, which enables our experts to see your maxillofacial structure and various tissues in the area in great detail. Information provided by the CT scan helps our experts plan the finer details of your surgery such as the angle and placement of the implants.
Once the surgery is completed, time is needed for the osseointegration, simply put, to let the body heal. The period usually takes 3-6 months. Initially during this period, pain, swelling or bruises can be observed. Antibiotics and painkillers help patients manage these effects and to ensure optimal healing. Patient will need to follow a soft food diet in order to avoid any pressure/force on the implant area.
